Characteristic Changes in First-Visit Patients with Peripheral Facial Palsy before and during COVID-19 Pandemic: A Single Center Retrospective Study

ABSTRACT
(1) Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has affected healthcare utilization rates on a global scale. This study aimed to analyze whether the characteristics of first-visit patients with peripheral facial palsy visiting Korean Medicine hospital and observe changes in them. (2) Methods: analyzed electronic medical records 2,310 who visited Facial Palsy Center, Hospital, Kyung Hee University Medical Center from January 1, 2019 December 31, 2021 terms demographic characteristics, disease phase, residence locations, visit route, patient care type. (3) Results: There were significant relationships between presence (i.e., before during) number by phase (p=0.043), locations (p=0.003), Seoul types (p=0.003). (4) Conclusions: several differences during Seoul, types.
