Consistency between Definition and Reasons for Applying Corporate Social Responsibility. The Perspective of Social Responsibility Managers

ABSTRACT
Knowledge of the motivations managers to practice Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a critical issue for those who promote its adoption. The understanding these reasons complicated by fact that there are different ways defining this responsibility, raising question whether any relationship between adopting it and how define it. To address issue, classification was constructed related CSR. A self-administered questionnaire applied non-probability sample managers, which included indicators both classifications. It found present all types motives, with proactive outweighing reactive motives significant degree correlation CSR doing so.
