ABSTRACT
Anthocyanins (ACNs) have attracted considerable attention for their potential to modulate the immune system. Research has revealed antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which play a crucial role in regulation by influencing key cells such as lymphocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells. Moreover, ACNs contribute maintaining balance between proinflammatory cytokines, thus promoting health. Beyond direct effects on cells, significantly impact gut health microbiota, essential factors regulation. Emerging evidence suggests that they positively influence composition of microbiome enhance immunomodulatory ACNs. Furthermore, these compounds synergize with other bioactive substances, vitamins minerals, further enhancing immune-supporting dietary supplements. However, detailed clinical studies must fully validate findings determine safe dosages different populations. Incorporating natural into functional foods or supplements can revolutionize management immune-related conditions. Personalized nutrition healthcare strategies be developed overall well-being resilience understanding mechanisms underlying actions. Recent advancements delivery methods focused improving bioavailability effectiveness ACNs, providing promising avenues future applications.
