ABSTRACT
Background
Ultrasonographic measurement of the optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) is helpful in assessment intracranial pressure. The aim this study was to determine whether Trendelenburg position during laparoscopic urological surgery changed ONSD and changes correlated with postoperative complications.
 Methods
In prospective study, we measured before patients were placed position. Then established by tilting operating table 20-25 degrees. After surgery, a horizontal position, second obtained. Results included 69 patients. average preoperative right eye 5.8 ± 0.7 mm 0.8 left eye. 6.6 differences between values eyes statistically significant (p <0.000001). increases above norm did not correlate incidence nausea = 0.94), delirium 0.81), or time patient awakening 0.29).
Conclusion increased who underwent surgical procedures performed but increase complications.
