ABSTRACT
Due to the ever increasing global warming, scientific community is concerned with finding immediate solutions reduce or utilize carbon dioxide (CO2) and convert it in useful compounds. In this context, reductive process of CO2 methanation well investigated attractive due its simplicity. However, requires development highly active catalysts. mini-review, focus on biochar-immobilized nanocatalysts for methanation. We summarize recent literature topic, reporting strategies design biochar immobilized their performances review thermochemical transformation biomass into decoration also tackle direct methods obtaining biochar-nanocatalysts, one pot, from nanocatalyst precursor-impregnated biomass. effect initial nature, as conditions that permit tune perfomances composite Finally, we discuss how they could be improved keeping mind low operation cost particularly sustainability.
