ABSTRACT
Turkiye, located in the Mediterranean Basin, has started to experience impacts of climate change, primarily manifesting severe droughts that significantly affect agricultural output. Water stands as a crucial component production. This study aims propose water efficiency measures essential for change adaptation. By accessing pertinent data, partic-ularly agriculturally reliant developing nations, this research endeavours analyse yield losses major crops within regions using most suitable methodologies. Furthermore, it seeks ascertain financial ramifications such losses. The methodological framework de-vised purpose was implemented Türkiye's Iğdır Plain, selected site. In 2022, province received 40% less precipitation than its usual levels. anticipates substantial due scarcity resulting from prolonged drought conditions. Analysis reveals among cultivated region, clover belonging field category exhibits highest dependency, while apricot demonstrates least reliance on resources. light these considerations, recommended crop rotation Plain under constraints comprises wheat, watermelon, maize, melon, apple, and apricot. Emphasizing enhanced transmission utilization efficiency, particularly ir-rigation zones, prioritizing stress-resistant basin patterns, favouring alternative over those demanding excessive will foster sustainable resource management. approach encourages farmers actively engage adaptation process conditions minimizing sector's vulnerability which heavily relies consumption
