ABSTRACT
The production of Moringa oleifera capsules has emerged as a promising agricultural activity in Mexico, driven by the plant’s well-documented health and nutritional benefits. In response, farmers have begun producing dietary supplement, using artisanal methods with minimal controls. This study aimed to estimate processing times system simulation modeling Arena® software, evaluate economic feasibility capsule production. Methodologically, it was approached case state Veracruz, were estimated through systematic sampling modeled Arena software. Three scenarios considered select technically economically viable alternative for producers: one 200-capsule encapsulator (1E200C), another two encapsulators (2E200C) third an 800-capsule (1E800C). For initial diagnosis research stay conducted 180 days, capacity set at 24,000 due raw material limitations. Results indicated that 1E800C scenario reduced time 60% compared the1E200C scenario, 35% 2E200C scenario. Additionally, model required only 2 days (16 hours) work, while 4 (32 hours), 1E200C 7 (56 hours). terms costs per unit 90 capsules, 3.93 USD 3.64 3.45 concluded limitations, company can produce 12,800 units year capsules. It is recommended adopt encapsulator, which would lower overall 12.23%, representing 0.48 produced, resulting additional profit 6,150.50 Over five-year evaluation period, benefit-cost ratio 5.03, NPV 922,370.11 IRR 42.09%, indicating this type agribusiness Mexico both feasible.
