The Original and A Saudi-Modified Screening Tools for The Assessment of Malnutrition in Pediatrics: Diagnostic Accuracy cross-sectional Study

ABSTRACT
Background: Malnutrition screening in hospitalized children is essential, and the STAMP a val-idated tool for this purpose. The study aimed to modify Saudi context assess sensitivity specificity of both original modified tools. Method: A cross-sectional was conducted among 307 children, where Saudi-modified were applied. Anthropometric measurements also recorded, statistical analysis used tools' validity. Results: identified higher percentage at high risk malnutrition compared (91.6% vs. 62.9%). sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative accuracy, agreement 94.3%, 13.2%, 64.8%, 57.7%, 0.654, 0.089, respectively. Conclusion: showed excellent varied indicating its potential effectiveness using an-thropometric as references.
