ABSTRACT
This study characterised and adjusted certain production process parameters (pH, C/N ratio temperature) critical to increasing the efficiency, stability sustainability optimise biogas yield. The optimised setup was a 20L biodigester filled with 4.46kg of cow manure, cassava water, rumen as inoculum in 1:1:1 respectively. Microbial analysis also performed using standard procedures on substrate digestates set-up. Physical chemical pre-treatments were done substrates ensure favourable conditions for anaerobic digestion. After retention period 19 days, cumulative volume 0.03913m³ (39.13L) obtained. microbial allowed following microorganisms be isolated; Bacillus sp Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas Proteus sp., Klebsiella Lactobacillus Staphylococcus aureus. from (Cow Cassava water) revealed no presence Lactic acid bacteria while digestate dung Cow showed lactic bacteria. Isolates both glucose fermenters carbon dioxide. these indicated possible activities generation biogas.
