ABSTRACT

Sea Breeze Front (SBF) is one of the important components sea breeze circulation, which plays role in coastal area’s atmospheric dynamics. SBF causes significant changes temperature and humidity profiles initiates updrafts that induce convective activity. This study aims to determine characteristics its impact on convection activity using Doppler weather radar west coast area South Sulawesi during dry season. identification utilized PPI CMAX products detect clouds SRI estimate rainfall intensity, then verified it Automatic Weather Station (AWS) Rain Gauge (ARG). was generally detected at 10.30–14.30 LT with an average moving speed 2.04 m/s. The length ranges from 15.47–21.08 km moves inland as far 12.57–26.09 0.51–0.89 column depth. There a difference value solar radiation intensity up 106 W/m2 0.5°C Days. caused 17 events maximum reflectivity 42–60 dBz 4–8 cloud diameter. Five out activities indicated occurrence light rain surface.
