ABSTRACT
Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is a successful method to treat osteoarthritis secondary the developmental dysplasia of (DDH). As anatomic deformity acetabulum, center placing socket may lead insufficient host bone coverage, therefore, high (HHC) technique an alternative choice. Location rotation can be referenced by inter teardrop line, highest point obturator foramen, summit iliac crests, ischial tuberosities and other landmarks. The HHC supposed increase coverage without structural grafts, simplify surgical procedures, reduce anesthetic time, conserve adequate healthy stock for revision, however, it leads insufficiency abductor muscles, speculated load, lower range flexion internal (IR). Loosening rates polyethylene wear vary in different studies. Concerning about these factors, acceptable while located at horizontal level with distance less than 35 mm from moreover, medialization reconstructions suggested.
