ABSTRACT
Impulse oscillometry (IO) is a non-invasive pulmonary function test for measuring respiratory impedance. Available reference equations of IO indices adults are limited. The aim this study was to develop Chinese adults. In multicentral, cross-sessional in adults, data from healthy subjects were collected 19 general hospitals across China between 2016 and 2018. Oscillometry measurements conducted accordance with recommendations the European Respiratory Society (ERS). Multiple linear regression performed sex-specific indices.IO 1,318 subjects, which 567 defined as individuals acceptable included final analysis. Reference limits normal [lower limit (LLN)/upper (ULN)] developed separately males females. Height but not age shown be most influential contributor indices. currently used lung laboratories predicted higher R5 X5. Normal ranges X5 recommended by equipment manufacturer clearly different ULN/LLN derived equations.Reference wide region provided study. It necessary update new adopt indices. This registered at www.clinicaltrials.gov part larger NCT03467880.
