ABSTRACT
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a subtype of with poor prognosis. In this study, we aimed to build nomogram predict the survival individual SCLC by incorporating significant clinical parameters. The patients were enrolled from First Affiliated Hospital Guangzhou Medical University (GMUFAH) between 2009 and 2013. We identified incorporated independent prognostic factors patients. The predictive accuracy discriminative ability evaluated concordance index (C-index) calibration curve. also compared built model 7th AJCC TNM VALSG staging system. was further validated in an cohort 80 Cancer Center (GMUCC) 2013.A total 275 included primary cohort, seven including age, N stage, metastasis status, histology, platelets lymphocyte ratio (PLR), neuron specific enolase (NSE) CYFRA21-1 as after using Cox regression model. A these subsequently built. curves for possibilities 1-, 2-year overall (OS) revealed optimal agreement prediction actual observation. C-index higher than that system both validation (nomogram vs. TNM, 0.68 0.65, P<0.01, 0.66 0.62, P<0.05; VALSG, 0.66, 0.64, P<0.05).In established novel OS SCLC. This could provide more accurate probability existing systems.
