The National Institutes of Health (NIH) recognized the need for a research program to address underlying structural factors that impact health. To inform development NIH Common Fund Community Partnerships Advance Science Society (ComPASS) Program, obtained input through community listening sessions. Through its design, ComPASS recognizes essential role organizations as lead in addressing persistent and social challenges accelerate progress toward advancing health equity. (
