ABSTRACT
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to update the results a prospective series 100 primary cementless total hip arthroplasty (THA) procedures that were performed between 1983 and 1986 with use Porous Coated Anatomic (PCA) system. This is one first studies THA minimum 25 years follow-up. Twenty-one patients (22 hips) original alive had clinical radiographic follow-up at postoperatively. Twenty-three percent (23) all hips 50% (11) among living cohort undergone revision for loosening and/or osteolysis acetabular component, 7% (7) 4.5% (1) revised femoral component. Only 4 stems isolated (without osteolysis). PCA component proved be durable postoperatively, while less durable. Level Evidence: Therapeutic IV .
