ABSTRACT
Case: In this case report, we present a novel stabilization technique of the pubic symphysis using an internal spinal fixator in 78-year-old morbidly obese woman having pelvic disruption type B1.1 (AO classification). We treated to reduce extent incision and soft-tissue damage. Conclusions: The use fixator, known from percutaneous fixation, for cases (“open book” injuries) may be alternative standard plate fixation as minimally invasive technique.
