ABSTRACT
Case: A 33-year-old man presented with acute abdominal and left hip pain after being struck by a motor vehicle. Radiographs revealed comminuted subtrochanteric femoral fracture. Computed tomography demonstrated large pelvic hematoma radiopaque mass in the abdomen. Laparoscopy to be bone fragment lying within greater omentum. The fragment, which seemed fracture was removed, repaired short cephalomedullary nail. Conclusion: Rarely, fragments can penetrate pelvis or abdomen because of high-energy trauma. Recognizing this possibility is important assure correct diagnosis subsequent treatment.
