ABSTRACT
Extra-abdominal desmoid tumors are rare, locally aggressive neoplasms without metastatic potential. There is no clear consensus regarding their optimal management. The disappointing results of current treatments and the ability extra-abdominal to spontaneously stabilize have increasingly drawn interest toward conservative objective this study was evaluate a wait-and-see policy as first-line management for tumors.This two-center retrospective involved fifty-five patients with histologically proven tumor. primary outcome cumulative probability dropping out from policy. included symptoms. We conducted review relevant published series in which watchful-waiting strategy used.The 9.6% at time last follow-up. Spontaneous arrest tumor growth noted forty-seven (85%) over course study.
