ABSTRACT
Thin layers of silica-surfactant hybrids with the thickness several tens nm formed on flat substrate from basic aqueous methanol solution containing tetraethoxysilane, behenyltrimethylammonium chloride, and ammonia. From same solution, micrometer sized spherical particles were obtained. Both film transformed to nanoporous silicas by calcination in air. The synthetic variables have been examined find following dominant experimental parameters; pore size silica can be controlled temperature films was varied amount base.
