ABSTRACT
The incorrect composition of a diet, its atherogenicity, is conducive to the occurrence lipid disorders, arterial hypertension (HTN), diabetes, and metabolic syndrome (MetS). aim study was evaluate prevalence anthropometric biochemical parameters as well diet atherogenicity. The group included 1,520 adults (880 women, 640 men). nutritional status evaluation based on respondents' BMI waist circumference. atherogenicity estimated using Keys Index (KI) P/S ratio. Total cholesterol (TCh), LDL triglycerides (TG) concentration in blood serum were also evaluated. In 56.8% women 60.8% men circumference exceeded referential values. diets 71.4% 87.3% atherogenic. HTN observed 64.1% population. Hypercholesterolaemia found approximately 72% respondents. increased 57.5% 64.5% men. Abnormal HDL occurred among 20% Hypertriglyceridaemia recognised 26% 44% In with HTN, mean values, i.e. BMI, TG (with TCh additionally noted men) significant. Normal profile pressure values 6.6% population. In higher KI compared without HTN. No significant differences frequency analysed either or it. abnormal more frequently.
