ABSTRACT
The state of Santa Catarina (SC), like Brazil, has a high proportion the population served with treated water.The growth over coming years will increase demand for water resources, increasing also concern quantity and quality available, given low rates collection treatment sewage great loss in distribution system.In SC, precarious situation sanitary is aggravated by difficulty carrying out works small municipalities.With need large long-term investments limited budgetary search financing banks national international credit institutions strengthened.The present study seeks to investigate internal external sector based on National Basic Sanitation Law 2007.It observed that, despite resources obtained from BNDES Federal Savings Bank, sources are essential, even taking into account risks exchange rate variations.Santa stands obtaining IDB JICA, AFD KfW.
