ABSTRACT
Abstract Background . Informal care provided by family caregivers to old persons is associated with a high risk of burden and poor health status. This study aimed analyze the impact Personalized Social Support (PSS) for non-dependent living in community on caregiver burden, satisfaction, frailty. Methods non-interventional longitudinal was performed southeast France: asking PSS (>70 years age, no disability severe chronic disease, at home) their were included 6-month follow-up. Eligible dyads visited home social workers. Caregiver assessed Mini-Zarit frailty status FiND (Frail Non-Disabled). Results 876 eligible PSS. Old 82.2 ± 5.8 77.6% women. Most women (64.5%). children person (61%), rest mostly spouses. Nearly 64% frail 38% highly dependent. Follow-up conducted 686 (78.3%). Of these, only 569 had The mainly housework meal preparation. At time follow-up, 53% whom less difficulty helping person. Two-thirds (61.5%) fully satisfied Whether or not they received PSS, 73% reduced 6 months, 6% still 17% frail, 18% felt healthier than inclusion. Conclusions Our highlights that person’s also experience burden. Implementing support activities daily major but level means determinants are more complex further studies needed.
