ABSTRACT
Abstract Background. The effect of cirrhosis etiology on the development HCC is unclear. study main indicators cell proliferation and also apoptosis in cirrhotic patients with different etiologies may declare which one more predispose to HCC. present aimed investigate gene expression p53, hepatic levels AMPK pAMPK, AgNOR features livers simple steatosis. Methods. pAMPK protein levels, p53 expression, were studied NASH(n=8), HBV/HCV(n=8), AIH(n=8), PSC(n=8), alcohol(n=6) cirrhosis, 10 steatosis, control using western blot quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction silver nitrate staining analyses, respectively. Results. significantly increased all groups slightly but not significant decreased mRNA level including total number(TAN), length(TAL), area(TAA) only tissues NASH, PSC, AIH a positive correlations observed between tissues. Conclusions. could be general response most common causes liver diseases. Likely, AIH, NASH than viral alcoholic cirrhosis.
