ABSTRACT
Purpose: To evaluate corneal cell morphology in patients with keratoconus using an vivo slit scanning confocal microscope. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted to the of 47 and 32 healthy eyes without any ocular disease.New different disease severities other co-morbidity were recruited from ophthalmology department a public hospital Malaysia June 2013 May 2014.Corneal evaluated slit-scanning microscope.Qualitative quantitative data analysed grading scale Nidek Advanced Visual Information System software, respectively. Results: The significantly that except endothelial density (P = 0.072).In group, increased level stromal haze, alterations such as elongation keratocyte nuclei clustering cells at anterior stroma, dark bands posterior stroma observed severity disease. The mean densities areas among stages < 0.001 P 0.044, respectively). However, changes endothelium not > 0.05) three keratoconus. Conclusion:Confocal microscopy observation showed significant keratoconic cornea normal cornea.Analysis also keratoconus.Understanding may help long-term monitoring management
