ABSTRACT
Core Ideas Stock unearthing method assumes that soil surface is planar between vines. Improved stock enhances the survey due to extra measurements. Indispensable consider timing of measures in relation tillage events. underestimates erosion rates by –14.2% 1‐d plowed vineyards. –37.8% 86‐d Vineyards have proven be one most degraded agricultural ecosystems very high rates, which are typically measured at fine temporal and spatial scales. Long‐term rare, but this information may indispensable for a proper understanding vineyard system, landscape evolution, crop production. The (SUM) common topographical measurement technique developed assess long‐term rates. reliance SUM has been questioned should replaced an improved technique. In paper, we demonstrate added value (improved accurate, low cost, faster than photogrammetrically methods) (ISUM). It was shown large errors made previous assessments on vineyards, as old did not make measurements inter‐row area or assessment We found caused severely underestimate –14.2 1‐ vineyards location, respectively. Furthermore, increased resolution attained from ISUM allowed detailed micro‐topographical change. Soil loss maps were able detect locational changes depletion accumulation, well continuous movement features areas. Ultimately, leads more accurate estimate actual
