ABSTRACT Breeding procedures developed for apomictic species are based on the idea of fixing superior hybrids by apomixis. However, scarce information is available about occurrence heterosis in hybrids. The objective was to generate a group apomixis‐segregating tetraploid bahiagrass ( Paspalum notatum Flüggé) families, evaluate series agronomic and morphological traits, determine level apospory expressivity among hybrids, estimate genetic distance parents its relationship expressivity. In total, 11 families were generated crossing sexual apomitic genotypes. segregation mode reproduction analyzed using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) marker linked bahiagrass, determined embryo sac observations. distances between inter‐simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers. ratio aposporic varied from 1:1 7:1 families. Discontinuous variation observed with either low or high levels being exhibited. Midparent, high‐parent, standard all evaluated characteristics. dependent combination involved also specific trait.
