ABSTRACT
The Paleoproterozoic Khondalite belt in the North China craton preserves evidence for ultrahightemperature (UHT) crustal metamorphism associated with collision of Yinshan and Ordos Blocks. Here we apply two-feldspar geothermometry to UHT granulites from two localities newly reported this study (Tuguishan Xuwujia) another previous studies (Dajing/ Tuguiwula Dongpo) belt. presence abundant perthite/mesoperthite these rocks reflects post-peak slow cooling. minimum estimated peak metamorphic temperatures are 832-998, 819-952, 844-1037, 966-1019 °C computed at 8 kbar Dajing/Tuguiwula, Dongpo, Tuguishan, Xuwujia areas, respectively. These results confirm report extreme Dajing/Tuguiwula reveal similar conditions new here, suggesting that is widespread craton. Our demonstrates can be recognized using do not possess other key assemblages
