ABSTRACT
To meet strong emission regulations such as Euro-7, which is expected to be implemented in 2025, gasoline engine and vehicle researchers are making considerable efforts drastically reduce emissions while maintaining or improving combustion performance. With the application of ultra-high-pressure fuel injection, multiple-injection strategy a well-known solution exhaust gas without adverse effects on efficiency In high-speed system, order inject high-pressure several times within short period it necessary secure excellent flow rate repeatability direct injection (GDI) injector. Therefore, purpose this study was analyze GDI injector under various multiple conditions correlate with needle behavior repeatability. repeatability, data obtained from an experiment Bosch method applied, individual rates 110 shots were analyzed experimental conditions. The movements ball armature inside visualized using X-ray phase contrast imaging (XPCI) technique, behaviors quantitatively by image post-processing analysis. This revealed that although energizing durations first second injections same, gradually increased dwell time shortened because opening faster, its duration longer than injection. related residual magnetic force intrinsic electrical characteristic solenoid-driven addition, bouncing appeared specific affects unstable characteristics when lift up again, position different at every time.
