Kolkata, an age-old city of India, once the capital, was always unplanned city. The has experienced many fire cases and severe consequences thereof. Unless mandated properly regulated by policies rules, hospitals, offices, residential buildings, seldom adopt safety-based hazard-specific structural design principles safety systems. In case informal settlements such as slums market areas, introducing equipment systems are often considered excess unrequired amenities. concept 'Resilience' works on th e risk acceptance, consequence minimization, rapid recovery.
