ABSTRACT
Herein, for the first time, we employed three minor concentrations of Carbon Nanotubes (CNT), 2.5, 5, and 10 wt.%, as an auxiliary additive to boost textural features CO 2 capture potential sol-gel-derived Zr-supported CaO adsorbents. The corresponding xerogels were developed with two high Ca/Zr molar ratios 15/1 30/1 minimize required amount prohibitive Zr-based precursor. For both types Zr-decorated adsorbents, 5 wt.% CNT was recognized most efficient amount. Associated 90.55 increments in pore volume 33.1% decrease crystallite size, by incorporating into sorbent synthesized ratio 30/1, total captured over a 15-cycle harsh-condition process raised 53.6%, indicating highest value among all samples. Moreover, increase 50.57 45.3% content adsorbent 15 multiple cycles reduction 15.84% size reported case xerogel CNT, respectively, durability ultimate sorption capacity comparison prepared xerogels. Based on acquired improvement rate outcomes adsorptive features, low Multi-walled notably contributes developing highly fluffy-like Zr-promoted xerogels, containing concentration species.
