ABSTRACT
Purpose: Minimal residual disease (MRD) is an important prognostic factor for survival in adults with acute leukemia. The role of MRD myelodysplastic syndrome excess blasts (MDS-EB) unknown. In this study, we retrospectively analyzed the status pretransplantation long-term survival. Patients and methods: MDS-EB who underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) from March 5, 2005, to November 8, 2020, were included. relationship between was analyzed. Results: Of 220 patients allo-HSCT, 198 eligible analyses multicenter, retrospective, cohort study. Complete remission (CR) attained 121 (61·1%) patients, 103 detection pretransplantation, 67 being MRD-positive 36 MRD-negative. 3-year disease-free (DFS) overall (OS) probability all 70·1% 72·9%, respectively. DFS OS CR 72·2% 74·8%, Among MRD-negative 85·6% 66·5% (P=0·045), respectively, 91·3% 66·4% (P=0·035), Univariate analysis multivariable showed that poor clearance independent risk OS. Conclusion: Poor pretransplanation after allo-HSCT MDS-EB.Funding: This work supported by grants National Natural Science Foundation China (NO. 82170212 No.81974002), key foundation joint project Chongqing Health Commission Technology Bureau (No.2019ZDXM001) innovation leading talents talents, Translational Research Grant NCRCH (No. 2021WWC02).Declaration Interest: authors declare they have no competing interests.Ethical Approval: study approved institutional research boards participating centers, written informed consent obtained or their guardians accordance Declaration Helsinki.
