Electrical Conductivity and Oxygen Relaxation Behavior in Babi1-Xsrxnb5o15-Δ Tungsten Bronze Ceramics

ABSTRACT
BaBiNb 5 O 15 (BBN) based oxide-ion conductors are expected to be widely used in intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cells. In this work, the electrical property enhancement is achieved by Sr 2+ ion doping and sintering process improvement . The BaBi 1-x x Nb 15-δ samples prepared traditional solid-state reaction investigate properties oxygen relaxation behaviors. With increasingly amount, bulk conductivity of compounds increases first then gradually decreases. At 773 K, highest conductivity, about 1.40×10 -4 S/cm, can found 0.98 0.02 compound, which around 1.4 times higher than that BBN compound increase doping, activation energy shows a trend decreasing increasing. Compared with method, total sample two-step method greatly improved. two orders magnitude method. These results great implications for improving performances BBN-based studying their process.
