ABSTRACT
Alternating current-driven organic light-emitting diodes (AC-OLEDs) exhibit great potential for next-generation lighting and display applications owing to their advantage of direct integration into AC-based household electric systems, nevertheless, low performance with high turn-on voltage inability light emission in the entire cycle AC signal remain major bottlenecks further development. Herein, AC-OLEDs coplanar electrodes (cpAC-OLED) are demonstrated, this new type AC-OLED architecture work a broad frequency range, from 20V/50Hz 200V/10kHz various optical feedback. The emit whole applied signal, manifests dependent color tunability. Moreover, these devices could be efficiently driven by commonly used power supply (220V/50Hz, 110V/50Hz) without any additional back-end electronics. working mechanism developed cpAC-OLEDs based on capacitor model is discussed. We anticipate that would accelerate development highly efficient color-tunable AC-driven sources.
