ABSTRACT
In the past decade, an increasing number of studies double-pulse φ-OTDR systems have been reported, but so far, there are no specifically analyzing influences double pulses on system performance. this paper, we construct a theoretical model system, analyze interference process theoretically, and make conjectures spatial resolution demodulation range. On basis, build experimental setup based Sagnac balanced interferometer. The feasibility proposed theory is verified by experiments altering probe pulse parameters localizing two-point disturbances at different frequencies. results also indicate when width greater than interval, offers more accurate positioning capabilities continuous range with high fidelity. conclusions provide reference for selection appropriate similar systems, methodological suggestion exploring other types or even multi-pulse systems.
