The Extended Healthy Lifestyle Index and its Association with Risk of Hypertension, Blood Lipid, Carotid Atherosclerosis:A Prospective Cross-Sectional Study in 330, 457 Residents

ABSTRACT
Background: China has a large population of people, but there is no index to evaluate their lifestyle. It necessary create an extended healthy lifestyle (EHLI) and investigate its association with hypertension, blood lipid, carotid atherosclerosis.Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted using the data from residents’ physical examination January 2015 December 2020. All participants completed online health self-reported survey, including demographics characteristics EHLI (i.e., composite score comprising 9 modifiable factors: smoke status, BMI, activity intensity, alcohol consumption, vegetable sleep duration, sedentary behaviours, anxiety, depression). Their pressure, bold colour Doppler ultrasound results atherosclerosis were retrieved records. We multilevel logistic regression models assess between CHLI high adjusting for demographic characteristics.Findings: total 330, 457 residents included in this study, all compeleting surveys pressure test, 329, 596 completing lipd 287, 945 atherosclerosis.
