ABSTRACT
NdMn1.5Ru0.5O5 behaves as a bifunctional catalyst for oxygen evolution and reduction reactions in acidic electrolyte. It presents an ORR onset potential of 0.84 V displays one the highest OER activities reported to date, with 1.46 reach 10 mA cm−2 460 A gRu−1 at 1.5 V. exhibits low index 0.94 (difference between −3 cm-2 mAcm-2 OER). The activity shown by this mixed oxide structure, first time on kind can be ascribed presence two types active atoms, Mn Ru, occupying different positions network, i.e., Mn4+ Ru4+ occupy octahedra (Mn,Ru)4+O6 whereas Mn3+ are arranged tetragonal pyramids Mn3+O5. In addition, Ru/Mn-Ru/Mn short distances close metallic bonds.
