Improving Wear and Corrosion Resistance of Ldeded Crfeni Mea Through Addition of B and Si

ABSTRACT
In this paper, a novel CrFeNiB0.03Si0.03 medium entropy alloy (MEA) coating was developed by utilizing Ni-base powder NiBSi in place of pure Ni through laser direct energy deposition (LDED) technology. The study explores the improvement wear and corrosion resistance CrFeNi MEA coatings incorporating B Si elements. results show that addition element generates Cr Fe boride phases, while solidly dissolves FCC phase. Compared to MEA, exhibits doubled microhardness reaching 403 HV0.2 reduced rate 40%, attributed fine microstructure solid solution strengthening Si. is also improved compared CrFeNi, which due formation more Cr2O3 layer SiO2 network, prevents cracks holes embroidery makes denser.
