ABSTRACT
This study discusses the impact of mono and sequential ion-irradiations on glass structure mechanical properties borosilicate glass. Under H-ion irradiation, there is a slight decrease in both hardness modulus. In Au He ion-irradiation scenarios, sample with increasing fluence eventually reach saturation. However, saturation values modulus differ for these two mono-ion irradiation scenarios. Sequential can facilitate damage recovery Au-ion pre-irradiated samples, while promote He-ion The ultimate equilibrium state governed by irradiated ions. Moreover, this demonstrates close correlation between boron These results are crucial understanding radiation damages caused multi-particle during nuclear waste immobilization.
