ABSTRACT
We proposed and experimentally demonstrated a gelatin film-based Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI) structure ultra-sensitive fiber optic air pressure sensor. The (F-P) cavity of the sensing probe FPI1 is made film, with thickness approximately 0.8 μm length 136 μm. sensitivity obtained in experiment as high 334 nm/MPa. In order to further improve probe, we fabricated an FPI2 F-P that cavity, then paralleled generate Vernier effect. reached -2701.14 nm/MPa, which magnified single by 8.1 times. temperature cross-sensitivity only 0.0035 MPa/℃. This sensor has advantages ultra-high sensitivity, simple manufacturing, low cost, good repeatability stability, broad application prospects acoustic detection.
