ABSTRACT
The demand of stingless bee honey and has increased rapidly due to its medicinal benefits. Honey the Indo-Malaya bee, Heterotrigona itama European Apis mellifera are among most popular products that commonly consumed by Malaysians. It been reported contamination with microplastics (MPs) can occur at various stages production, from bees collecting contaminated floral sources harvesting packaging processes. With increasing plastics pollution in environment concerns about potential health risks, this study is aimed investigate presence MPs twelve samples bees, H. A. Malaysia. Results showed both types were where itama's contained 491 MPs, while 331 found mellifera's honey. fibre fragment, mostly transparent colour range sizes 0.7 mm 1.8 mm. Findings preliminary hoping give an awareness honey, which needs better understanding on good practices beekeeping processing procedures minimize
