ABSTRACT
The effects of an integrated medicines management (IMM) program on medication appropriateness are discussed.Patients enrolled in IMM project within a hospital were randomly allocated to either control or intervention group. Patients the group received standard pharmaceutical care, while patients service. medications prescribed was estimated admission and discharge using Medicines Appropriateness Index (MAI), which ranged from 0 (no prescribing problems) 18 (most problems).
