ABSTRACT
Gastric cancer is a common tumor type associated with nutritional and immune status. The aim of the current study was to investigate prognostic value preoperative index (PNI), composed factors in elderly patients undergoing gastric surgery.A total 454 surgery were divided into two groups based on PNI scores: ≤45.1 (n = 307) >45.1 147). Survival analysis performed using Kaplan-Meier method Log rank tests. Univariate multivariate analyses conducted identify independent Cox proportional hazards model.According X-tile program, optimal cutoff for predicting overall survival (OS) 45.1. receiver operating characteristic revealed that exhibited 70.6% sensitivity 56.5% specificity death during long-term follow-up. cumulative incidence postoperative 4-year mortality indicated risk increased significantly ≤45.1. In analysis, significant predictor mortality. age-stratified subgroup more sensitive old than young subgroup.Preoperative specific among surgery.
