ABSTRACT
A growing body of evidence links chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to gastroesophageal reflux (GERD). In spite the lack understanding specific cause-effect relationship between COPD and GERD, GERD has been shown be a significant predictor acute exacerbations COPD. this study, we examined evolution over past decades provided valuable insights into topic.The Web Science Core Collection (WoSCC) was searched since its inception until 19 August 2022 obtain publications related GERD. The data analyzed in Microsoft Excel (version 2021), HisCite 2.1), Scimago Graphica 1.0.23), VOSviewer (1.6.17), CiteSpace 5.8.R3).We extracted 545 documents from WoSCC database. Since 2002, there have rapid increases publications. Among countries institutions, United States University Manchester were most prolific. cited journal Chest, while Respiratory Medicine had 2870 authors, Hasenfuss, Gerd, Lange, Peter, Martinez, Gerd top 3 contributing authors field. Aside "gastroesophageal disease" "chronic disease", terms "quality life", "cough", "inflammation" frequently occurred title abstract articles. Keywords co-occurrence overlay visualization indicated that "refractory cough" hot topics recent years.Research on flourished, content become more in-depth time. future, topic deserves attention.
