ABSTRACT
Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) refers to a hypergonadotropic hypoestrogenism and the condition of pre-onset function failure. Epimedium is common traditional Chinese herbal medicine that widely used relieve POI in China. To systematically explore pharmacological mechanism epimedium on therapy, network pharmacology approach was conducted at molecular level. In this study, we adopt method, which mainly includes active ingredients prescreening, target prediction, gene enrichment analysis analysis. The revealed 6 targets (ESR1, AR, ESR2, KDR, CYP19A1 ESRRG) might be therapeutic POI. In addition, gene-enrichment suggested appeared play role by modulating functions, 5 cellular components, 15 biological processes striking 52 potential involved 13 signaling pathways. This study predicted against from holistic perspective, as well provided powerful tool for exploring mechanisms rational clinical application medicine.
