ABSTRACT
Honokiol is a bioactive lignanoid and has been utilized in traditional Chinese medicine for long time. It exhibits several pharmacological properties, such as anticancer effects, anti-inflammatory antianxiety effects. However, the poor aqueous solubility of honokiol impeded clinical applications. In present study, we adopted liquid antisolvent precipitation (LAP) technique to prepare nanoparticles enhancement bioavailability. Moreover, obtained were investigated evaluated terms morphology, physicochemical saturation solubility, dissolution vitro, bioavailability vivo, toxicity, inhibitory effect on growth HepG2 cells. The existed nearly spherical shape could be turned into amorphous structure by LAP method. was extremely higher than that free honokiol, nanoparticle rate also which about 20.41 times 26.2 artificial gastric juice intestinal juice. The area under curve [AUC(0-t)] value 6.52 greater honokiol; therefore, had but innoxious organs rats. Additionally, exhibited inhibition cells due their lower IC50 compared honokiol.Honokiol have high bioavailability, can become new oral drug formulation produce better response its applications.
