ABSTRACT
Curcumin (Cur) is a natural extract of Asian spice longa, showing multi-targeting capability and low toxicity in anti-tumor activities. The bioavailability restricts its application as therapeutic agent. Folate (FA) receptors are highly expressed many malignant tumors while normal tissue. Herein, we developed self-assembled FA modified MPEG-PCL micelle to incorporate Cur (FA/Nano-Cur) applied it for colorectal cancer therapy. We prepared FA/Nano-Cur micelles identified their characteristics. drug release behavior, pharmacokinetics vitro activities were studied. Furthermore, the vivo ability assessment mechanisms investigation carried out murine model.FA/Nano-Cur had an average particle size 30.47 nm. Elongated T1/2 larger AUC found group than that Free group. MTT assay apoptotic study indicated growth inhibitory effect pro-apoptotic most significant among all treatments. Moreover, demonstrated exhibited much stronger suppress tumor growth, promote apoptosis attenuate angiogenesis Nano-Cur micelles. The present might be promising agent treatment with distinctive advantages improved bioavailability, sustained release, tumor-targeted delivery toxicity.
