ABSTRACT
Background: Traditional nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems suffer from several limitations, such as easy clearance blood and inaccurate targeting. Materials Methods: Here, we developed platelet membrane-coated nanoparticles (PM-NPs) to improve the precise of drugs tumor sites enable a more efficient photothermal therapy (PTT) treatment. Results: Mimicking natural membrane, containing agents were not recognized cleared by immune system; they could circulate in for long time accumulate efficiently at site, thus releasing antitumor achieving better PTT effects. It is worth mentioning that, this study, found that tumors mice treated with platelet-mimicking completely eliminated without recurrence during observation period (up 18 days). Conclusion: This study provides new strategy design or agents, whether biotherapy other fields. Keywords: platelet-mimicking, delivery, IR780, doxorubicin, chemo-photothermal
