ABSTRACT
Background: With the development of bacterial resistance, range effective antibiotics is increasingly becoming more limited.The use nanoscale antimicrobial peptides (AP) in therapeutic and diagnostic methods a strategy for new antibiotics.Methods: Combining both AP cadmium selenide (CdSe) into composite material may result reagent with novel properties, such as enhanced antibacterial activity, fluorescence favorable stability aqueous solution.Results: AP-loaded CdSe NPs (AP-CdSe NPs) showed strong activity against multidrug-resistant (MDR) Escherichia coli (E.coli) Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) vitro vivo.Colony-forming unit (CFU) minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) assays that AP-CdSe have highly activity.The quantitative analysis apoptosis by flow cytometry further confirmed MDR E. S. treated had death rates 98.76% 99.13%, respectively.Also, was found to inhibit an vivo bacteremia model mice infected aureus.In addition, mechanism determined RNA sequencing analysis.Gene ontology (GO) Kyoto encyclopedia genes genomes (KEGG) pathway revealed molecular effect NPs.Importantly, histopathology analysis, hematological toxicity indicated few side effects. Conclusion:These results demonstrate loaded on higher water solubility, bioavailability compared raw AP.This study reports findings are helpful design treatment strategies based AP.
