ABSTRACT
Only 21% of employed mothers in Ethiopia breastfeed exclusively until six months. Evidence from other countries has shown that support managers encourages to continue breastfeeding. Whereas lack physical resources, time for breastfeeding and supportive policies adversely impact the continuation The aim this study was explore perspective regarding Ethiopian context.Managers district level, government institutions were interviewed Tigray region North Ethiopia. Semi-structured, face interviews used managers' perspectives views about breastfeeding, level they provide mothers, challenges faced. data transcribed verbatim thematically analysed.Fifteen 12 organizations. categorized into three themes. first theme related attitudes preference revealed overall participants had positive towards second highlighted concern on staffing workplace productivity. third focused assertions that, despite improvements, there still inadequate strategies women Ethiopia.It is promising expressed a attitude supporting mothers.
