ABSTRACT
Healthcare workers (HCWs) are the backbone of healthcare system and a skilled healthy workforce is vital during health crisis, such as present coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. at higher risk exposure to transmission severe acute respiratory coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). Hence, HCWs should possess good knowledge attitudes toward COVID-19 protect not only themselves but also their colleagues, families larger community. Thus, current study aims assess practice protective measures by in Saudi Arabia first wave pandemic identify awareness disease, potential trends associated predictors.A cross-sectional, web-based was conducted among about related measures, social distancing use personal equipment (PPE) A Fisher exact test one-way analysis variance (ANOVA) were used investigate level association variables.A total 674 recruited (51.8% male, 42.7% aged 28-37 years old 52% specialists). The Ministry Health (MoH) main source for most (89%) followed WHO (44.5%) media (42.3%). Washing hands before touching face selected choice (97.9%) precautionary method limit SARS-CoV2 transmission. Most (74.6%) scored low staying home while majority (71.2%) showed high methods, with pharmacists general physicians scoring highest.Saudi COVID-19. Good correlates adoption appropriate practices prevent spread infection. findings highlight importance interventions tailored education training courses those scores improve overall practice.
